Strawberry Jam 5K

Back for our third sweetest race ever!! A deliciously sweet addition to the Annual Habitat Strawberry Festival in Ocala. The Strawberry Jam 5K along with the Habitat Strawberry Festival are fundraisers to raise enough funds to build the 2020 Strawberry House for a low-income family. Habitat for Humanity of Marion County is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization.

Welcome to the 3rd annual Strawberry Jam 5K  scheduled on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 8:00 am being held prior to the Habitat Strawberry Festival at 601 SE 25th Ave. Ocala.


Why we host a Strawberry Jam 5K-   Habitat for Humanity of Marion County's goal is to eliminate poverty from Marion County and provide a safe and secure place for a family to raise their children. 100% of proceeds will benefit the Home-ownership Program that offers low-income families, who meet the criteria,  the opportunity to have a decent home with affordable monthly mortgage payments and zero percent interests. The proceeds will be used to build the 2019 Strawberry House. 

RACE INFORMATION

Pre-Registration Package pickup- Friday, March 1, 2019 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm behind the stage off SW 26th Court at the McPherson Complex- 601 SE 25th Avenue-          A FREE pancake breakfast ticket will be given to all participants who ATTEND the PRE- RACE PACKET PICK UP on March 1, 2019. The ticket can be redeemed at the Habitat Strawberry Festival beginning at 7:30 a.m on Saturday, March 2, 2019.

Race Day:
Registration/check-in begins at 6:30 am (near Division of Drivers License Bureau) across from SE 4th Street (race finish line) 
Race will begin at 8:00 am
Awards - presented on stage at Habitat Strawberry Festival 

Race Route- The 5K will start/end at McPherson complex (by the DMV building) and wind through the beautiful neighborhoods and finish inside the McPherson Complex.  The course is 100% asphalt with water stations provided at 1.5 miles and at the finish line located at the Habitat Strawberry Festival. 

T-Shirts/Finisher Medals - T-shirts are guaranteed to the FIRST 150  registered participants and custom FINISHER medals provided to the first 150 runners to cross the finish line.               Register early to reserve your shirt ! 

Awards- Winners will be announced and receive their medals on the main stage at the Habitat Strawberry Festival which is located near the finish line & Habitat Food Court (Big white tent). Plan to stay after the race and enjoy all the sights, sounds and taste that the Habitat Strawberry Festival has to offer!    Awards for given to both Men & Women from each age group

Registration- Early registration is $30, After February 22 th and Day of Race- registration is $35. Groups of 10 or more is $25/runner. Start a team from your office or with your friends!
